Jvc mx j800 front buttons + cd wont work...

Hi, probably 2-4 years ago i was listening to the stereo when the power went out. when it did, i was unable to change time, alarm, station, presets or any of that. but the am\fm button, aux, tape and cd buttons work. another problem i have is that the cd doesnt work, it goes ot cd but doesnt open or play. also sometimes the unti will turn off, the 3 cd drive lights will remain on, but i cant turn it back on. it just stays with teh 3 cd lights on as well as the red power light. i have no clue what the problem is, most likely electrical\ a fuse, but im fed up with not being able to use it for its intended purposes. anyway any help would be great, thanks.

My JVC MX-J800 is driving me crazy. The power comes on. But when I try to play a CD. I get the message that no CD is in the player - same message for all three CD players. What do I do?

SOURCE: JVC mx-kb30 Stereo comes on then goes right back off.

A desperate longshot but the only i have to offer: It might be a problem with the electricity. if possible try and install it at another location in your house, using other electricity sockets. If the problem is solved by relocating the system, you might be looking at wiring problems (audio equipment can be very sensitive to that), if changing anything in the installation process solved the problem then the problem was probably due to bad grounding and "loose" electricity. Try making the installation as "clean" as possible, avoid tangled wires and stressing a single socket with too many electric appliances. If the problem persists, and you are still under warranty, I suggest contacting your local JVC dealer. If you're out of warranty I suggest locating a professional repair person. Good luck

I have a jvc mx-c330 bookshelf home stereo in the middle of listening to music the band e.q. changes on its own. do i need to set something as far as memory or what .

There is a demo button. When it's plugged in the first time, or with a power loss, it reverts to that mode. Hit the demo button and it goes away. =)

Security feature problem on car cd deck

i have never seen a jvc that required a security code. it is possible that you may have a bad power or ground connection if lights are blinking off and on. sometimes when a deck has been sitting for a long time capacitors may dry out.

My JVC car stereo will let me listen to the radio but when i put in a cd it wont play and 00:0000 AY flashes constantly. It started a week ago... have i pressed a wrong button?

I had the same problem, it occurred after my battery had run flat. To fix it you need to reset the unit. To do this, remove the clip-off fascia, and on the main body of the unit there small hole, just to the left of the connector. Push a narrow pointed object such as a pen nib into this hold until you feel the click. The unit is now reset and should be working properly. You'll have to retune your saved radio stations, but the cd player should now be working.

JVC MX-J200 CD Shelf System vs young boy and a penny

Coins are metal, and so this piece of metal could have come into contact with the circuit at any point, causing a short circuit. General this would have blown the fuse inside the unit. So start looking for a fuse. On the PC board it could be marked with a letter "F".

WE just bought fuses at the local radio shack. Ours were 4A 125V. You can look up your fuses on thier website to see if they carry them or just take one of your old ones with you. Hope you find what you are looking for.

Kenwood KDC-MP832U display not working

I had this problem! It was the Cars Battery. Kenwoods unit's fade or go completely blank when there is little power to power the stereo. Try charging your battery or grabing a new one from a scrappy! I was all over the net looking for help but finally sorted it!

P.S. My younger brother had to do the exact thing and it worked for him as well!!!

Cd Player wont open

Hi,

I have my manual here.

"Turn on the system and enter CD mode. While pressing the stop button on the unit( the little circular button with the dark square), press the CD Open/Close button on the unit. 'UNLOCKED' appears on the display."

Hope this helps.
