I would recommend that you send it into Nintendo for free repair. There number is 1-800-255-3700. I would call them and set up a repair ticket so you can then send it in for repair.

Good luck,

When my daughter touches any object with the pen nothing happens. It will keep telling you to touch a picture on the screen with your pen.

You need to recalibrate. Try pushing B, A, Hint, and Home when you turn it on. Do not have a cartridge in the player or it will think it is a regular Leapster. Once it says calibrate screen it will say to press A, then wait until a target appears in the upper left hand corner, touch it and you should hear a sound, then a new target appears in the lower left hand, repeat actions, then lower right hand screen, and finally the upper right hand screen. If it stops at any time and doesn't get more arrows, try it again or turn it off and see if the pen works. It may take a few tries to get it to recalibrate correctly.

Something happened to where when i use the pen there is this area on the screen that will not allow the pen to touch that area of the screen or go near it, it just skips it, why?

This seems to be a common problem with this Toshiba. I squeeze the molding around the screen near the areas that the touch screen is not working. It usually happends in long blocks that don't respond to the pen.Press along the top sides and bottom running along all the edges with pressure. You may have to work with it a few times but it seems the fix mine for a while.. hope this helps

When i turned on the leapfrog and asked me to log in my name it doesn't let me go in when i press it with the leapfrog pen

the screen needs to be re-calibrated. Do this: while powering on the Leapster, hold down the ? key. If it's been worn off, it's the round key on the left hand side above the t-arrow keys and it's the middle button. A new screen will come up that lists Base Info Cart 1 Info, Cart 2 Info, Cart 3 Info. In the right hand corner is a "A" that you can touch with pen beside it, it says "Touch Calib" Touch on that.It will say starting...then in the upper left hand corner there is a +. touch it with pen. it will move to bottom left hand corner. Touch it with pen. It will move to right bottom corner. touch with pen. It will move to upper right hand corner. Touch with pen. It will move to the center of the screen. Touch with pen. Repeat until you come back to the Base Info screen. You're DONE! Power off and on again and you should be all set! Good luck!!

My DSI opens up but does not responds on the touch screen, left and right button and x / y button. but the camera can take pictures

One time when my dinosoar of a ds was not a dino, I left it plugged in to the wall for a few days. When I went to unplug it and play a game that required the touch screen, it seemed to not know i was touching it. That night I went and bought mario bros. partners in time and played that game (which used buttons and not the screen) until my ds died and I recharged it only for a day and the touch screen worked again.

Another time I went to someones house with 2 little kids and let them play my game. They lost my pen ( and it was a hassel finding a pen small enough to fit in the slot) and started using their fingers. We ate some super buttery popcorn and kept touching the screen with our fingers. The next day the touch screen did not work and my step dad had to use windex 3 times daily for 2 days before it would work.

Make sure you try what I tried a few times. Pretty much any problem you have with the touch screen not responding can be fixed by letting your batteries run out of juice and recharging in a maximum time of 1 day. If this fails you, make sure you are using the bottom screen. You dont know how many people I have met that kept replacing their ds and ended up finding out they were using the wrong screen. Finally, replace the screen, and buttons or just replce the ds or dsi.

My pen for my computer won't work

I think the pen has gone bad on you, since your screen can still detect your hand and the track pad. I would think the pen is faulty. Try another pen cause I think your original is bad, if it was the touch feature that wasn't working I would say its a driver problem but that feature still works with the exception of the pen. Get another pen.
