Strangely in all of this, u don't tell the oven when to start - it works it out itself!
First u need to set the length of cooking time, eg 2hrs.
Press the cooktime button(2nd one along), THEN use the +/- buttons to set the display to 2.00.
THEN press the readytime button (3rd one), and use the +/- buttons to set the end time.eg 1730hrs
The display should then revert to the present time.
THEN turn the oven control to the required temperature.
The oven will switch on at 1530 hrs.
If u were to press the cooktime button ONCE WHILST the oven was on - it will display the cooktime remaining.
AT 1730, the oven will switch off and the alarm will sound
To switch off the alarm, press the minuteminder button - first one - looks like a bell, THEN
REMEMBER to cancel the programme by pressing buttons 2 and 3 TOGETHER, otherwise it will do it again tomorrow!
HOPE THIS HELPS
I would suggest first.trying it when you're at home all the time the oven is on.
Hello jnjpelli - Try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and restart the unit. If the oven does not turned on, then more than likely there seems to be a power supply issue. Also try checking the breaker and the power connections located on the back of the range. If any of these suggestions prove to be ineffective, connect with a professional to accurately pinpoint any potentially more serious issues
The handbook says:- To cancel the automatic setting and return the oven to manual operation, press the cook time and ready time buttons simultaneously. These are the second and third buttons from the left. If you have done that and it is not working, try turning the complete oven off for awhile - say 30 mins and turning back on. If this still doesn't work then it may be that the timer/clock has gone faulty.
That code refers to the oven temperature sensor sensing a too hot oven. I suspect what you did to quite the cleaning cycle should help once the temperature cools down the door should open. I am a little confused, did you set the oven to clean while your cooking, or did it do this on its own, or was it preset and yopu forgot it was set to clean? Your temp sensor may be going bad if it just detected a too hot oven while your cooking. If it started cleaning then it may have gotten too hot and this is the safety device to prevent it from overheating. it sounds like it is trying to self clean, its essential that you find the error code sheet, stuck in the stove or oven cabinet somewhere, also check your range settings so that it is not set to auto clean.
Hello, Please find here our reply from the customer service of Fagor America: This problem could be confusion over how to properly program an automatic cooking function. First, you must program the cooking duration, then you must program the time of day you want the food to be ready. Sometimes customers think they need to program a “start time” and an “end time” versus a “duration” and an “end time”. Please, make sure you are doing both steps correctly. Also, you should be aware that this clock works on the 24-hour principle (military time). I know that sometimes this confuses people as well. If both of those are okay, then it probably has a defective clock.
