Question about Apple iPod shuffle Second Gen. Silver (1 GB) MP3 Player (MA564LL/A)

1 Answer

It wont charge or turn on

I plugged it up to my computer to add media, and the power was drained from it. When I try to charge, or turn it on, the battery indicator light flashes green and orange. Could the software be damaged?

Re: It wont charge or turn on

Problem not with software, problem is with shuffle. You need to buy the charger that you plug into the wall or car charger. This takes care of the charging problem.

Does it charge if you plug it into a power source? Try holding down Home and Power for 10-15 seconds and try a reset.

Disney MixMax player... JUST bought this device. I installed the software CD, but that is JUST for the online/media storage component... I plugged it into the computer & computer wont recognize it at...

The manual indicates that it should show charging as soon as connected, and takes three hours to charge.
I have found that on some devices, this does not happen, and it takes a few minutes for the device to get enough charge into the battery to start up. This especially from new, or if left for a long while.
Try giving it a long charge, six hours is recommended by some manufacturers, using the same type of battery.
leave your computer on, it won't hurt it, as the USB ports, only supply power when it's on.

If it does not work then, as you have only just bought it, take it back.

When I Connect My Ipod Touch 8gb To My Computer It Wont Turn On And I Didnt Charge It For Like A Month What Should I Do Please Help Me!!!

You are right, it doesn't have enough power to turn on because the battery was drained. You're saying that it wont charge? It could only be the USB cable problem. Try to use a different iPod USB cable and check if it charges the iPod. Another thing is try to charge the iPod using the stand alone USB charger. Your iPod requires high power input. If that doesn't work, you may start to think that it is a battery failure.

Sansa MP3 Won't charge or come up on computer screen!?

sometimes if the mp3 is very cold or if it has been completely drained from battery it will do that, first try using a charger that you might have for your car, or something that you can charge it from a wall outlet.

My IPod Nano Wont Turn Off

Use the reset method suggested in your manual to reset the device, and then that way you won't have to wait for the battery to drain. Your iPod may have a more seriosus problem, though - I would do the 5 R's suggested in the user manual.
