Question about Janome D'cor Excel Pro 5124 Mechanical Sewing Machine
My mother and I recently bought a Janome Decor 5124, and it came without an instruction manual. I was wondering as to how you change the type of stitch on the machine?
If you bought it new and there was no manual, the dealer you bought it from or Janome themselves will give you one. Meanwhile, the smaller knob on the side of the machine (bottom one) changes the type of stitches. As you turn it, you'll see the red indicator change on the front to show which stitch has been selected. Of the 3 sliding levers on the front of the machine, the top one numbered 1-6 controls the zigzag width. The slider below it, numbered 1-4, controls the stitch length.
Also, the needle has to be in the "up" position in order for you to be able to change the stitch type. If it's down, you can either push the "up/down" button, or turn the handwheel (larger knob on side of machine).

You should be able to buy an instruction manual from Janome or even on ebay.
