Go to Control Panel and Click on Sounds, Click
on Audio, then Click on the Microphone. Then Click on the drop
down and select Camera Microphone.
Click OK and it should work.

1.) Check Device Manager for any "unknown" drivers, marked with a yellow exclamation point. If you find one that doesn't seem to belong to any of your other devices- you have your onboard. however, you may need to install the drivers for it.
2.) Check your BIOS. Some onboard cards have the ability to be enabled/disabled there.
Other than that, you could be looking at a dead card. All I can suggest if that's the case, to buy a new PCI soundcard to replace it.
adjust the settings might be the prob second you can go to device maneger and look for the build in cam then check if your computer detects it. if theres a ? or !.
