The connection to your modem could be faulty.
Ring your ISP and get them to test the connection to your ADSL modem.
Also do you have ADSL line filters on all your phones?
The phone connection to the ADSL modem does NOT use a ADSL filter.

  • Anonymous Dec 13, 2009

Also you can check the Internet connection by connecting the LAN cable from the ADSL modem to the computer and try yo connect to the Internet.

Then power down the wireless ADSL modem for 15 secs and power up again and if the wireless LED lights up then you should get a wireless connection. If not then the wireless connection could be faulty.

Driver for linksys wet11

I don't think Linksys WET11 has a driver. However you can configure it by connecting it physically to a router or straight to your computer (ensure the LAN LED is illuminated on the WET11). Beware though that since it doesn't give an IP address, you may not be able to configure it right away. If you connected it straight to your computer, you need to set a static IP on your pc (give it something like 192.168.1.10 so you will be on the same IP range as the WET11). Once done, try accessing http://192.168.1.225. Leave username blank, default password is admin.

Dlink DI524 wireless problem: cannot access the router

If the Router is new proceed to Step 1. If the Router is used power on and press and hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds. It is located next to where the power cord is plugged in. Use either a pen or paper clip to push reset button.

Step 1. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port located on the Cable / DSL modem and the other end to the WAN port on your D-Link DI524 wireless Router. The WAN LED light will illuminate to indicate proper connection.

Step 2. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to LAN Port 1 on the back panel of the DI-524 and the other end to the network adapter in the computer you are using to
configure the DI-524. The LED light for LAN Port 1 illuminates to indicate proper
connection.

Step 3. Once all pieces ar connected. Open your Web browser and type http://192.168.0.1 into the URL address box then press ENTER. Once the log-on pop-up screen appears type admin for the user-name and leave the password blank then click ok.

Step 4. Once you have logged in, the Home screen will appear and you should see a box called RUN WIZARD in the middle of the screen. Click that box and follow the steps.

Setup Step 1 - Click Next
Setup Step 2 - Create Password and click Next
Setup Step 3 - Choose Time Zone and click Next
Setup Step 4 - Setup wizard will try to auto-detect your Internet connection type.
Setup Step 5 - Select your Internet Connection. You will be prompted to select the type of Internet connection for your router. More than likely it will be Dynamic IP Address. Click Next.
Setup Step 6 - Click the “Clone MAC Address” button to automatically copy the MAC address of the network adapter in your computer. You can also manually type in the MAC address. Click Next.
Setup Step 7 - The default wireless settings for your 802.11g wireless network are: SSID = default Channel = 6. You can change the SSID name to whatever you like. This will be the name of your wireless network. Click Next.
Step 8 - If you wish to use encryption for your 802.11g network, the DI-524 is capable of two levels of wireless encryption - 64-bit and 128-bit. By default the encryption is disabled. You can change the encryption settings for more secure wireless communication. If you choose to use encryption, you will need to write down the encryption key so that you can connect your laptop or pc via wireless connection. Click Next
Setup Step 9 - Your is complete. Click Restart to save and reboot your router.
Setup Step 10 - Click Close to complete your setup.

Setup Step 11 - You will be returned to the Home tab. Close this window and wait for the Router to finish rebooting. Then relaunch your Web browser (i.e., Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator), to link to your favorite Web site to test your Internet connection.
