Toshiba A105-S2101 keeps crashing!

My Toshiba A105-S2101 Keeps crashing. I installed windows Vista on this notebook about 3 months ago and order a memory upgrade from 512MB to 2gigs. Soon after my notebook started crashing. So i wiped windows vista from my pc and went back to windows xp. My computer continued to crash, so i called the company i ordered the memory from. However they told me that the memory that was ordered was the correct memory for my machine. However i do know in most cases that 70% of all BSOD is caused by memory problems. My computer starts up fine and might run for a week before crashing and it might only last for a few mins. The error message is as followed after the computer crashes and restarts.

BCCode: 1000008e BCP1: C0000005 BCP2: 8054AA32 BCP3: AF45C8A4 BCP4:00000000
OSVer: 5_1_2600 SP: 2_0 Product:768_1

The event viewer shows an (Error) Source = "System"
Thank everyone in advance for their time.

I did try to do a mem test on the pc. However i had no luck. Im not real sure how to do. This computer dose not have a floppy drive. I tried to download a few types of software to check my mem. I never could get them to work as a boot CD. I have sonic record now as a burner. Yes the mem is 533 MHZ i did send one of the memory sticks back into the company the one i though might have been bad. But after i got the new memory stick back in the computer has started crashing again. This computer hasnt been used at all. the only thing that has changed is the new memory. I would like to try the mem test. Whats the best way to do this by sonic?

The problem is in your hard disk. replace it with another one and install the operating system and let me know.

also check for vibration, the hdd needs no shaking.

is that ram DDR II SDRAM - 533 MHz ?

Sounds like a memory 'leak'. Just because it's the 'correct' memory, doesn't mean it's not faulty. I would have them exchanged.

You can run a Microsoft memory diagnostic program to determine is they are faulty.

The software is free from Microsoft from here:

Also, always try to stick with a 'known' brand (kingston, samsung, etc).

I'm not familiar with the Sonic software. There should be an option somewhere to make a 'bootable data cd'.

Cant install realtek hd audio player error 401

From your question, I deduce that:

1. You are installing a Sound Crad Driver from an OEM Vendor (Toshiba support site).
2. You are runnimg Windows XP. in the case of Windows Seven/Vista, these two platforms support a generic HD Audio Driver (hdaudio.sys as verified from the DirectX Diagnostic Tool)
3.In that case, you need to download and install:
(a). The Intel Chipset Drivers for your device.
(b). The Microsoft Unified Audio Architecture HD Audio Driver , which you can download here as a HotFix ( Click here to go to the link.
4. Once you have downloaded all these components and installed them, go on and install the Realttek HD Audio Driver from your OEM Vendor.

Good luck.

Im trying to fix my sound and it keeps telling me im missing rtl100.pbl i have no idea what thta is or even how to fix it

It sounds like you need to install or re-install the sound drivers for this particular notebook.
In order to do this, you'll need to download the drivers from the Toshiba support web site.
You will need to go to the support web site for your model of notebook and click the "Downloads" tab.
From the "Downloads" find the category "Driver Sound" and then find the driver for the version of Windows that you are running (Vista, XP, 7, etc.)
Download the driver and any support software to your desktop. Once downloaded, double-click on each file to start the setup program.
Follow the directions of the wizard and reboot your system after installation is complete.

I have the drivers installed but still have no sound

First check that your mute is not on.
Next make sure your volume is up
Third, try a set of headphones in the jack (you may have bad speakers)

No sound on my laptop

You can get it from the recovery partition or from the recovery discs of your computer. Recovery contains software and drivers of a computer. So you install your sound from the Recovery. For the process, just try in laptop support website on how to install software or drivers from recovery.
