The time and date (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its metadata.
If you want to print this with the picture, you'll need to consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print. Depending on the program and printer, you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

By pressing [SCAN] [Start] on the operation panel of the machine, you can scan
documents to your computer.
Pressing [SCAN] [Start] has the same effect as clicking [Save] in the MF Toolbox.
You can change the settings for [Save], or set up a button other than [Save] to
perform the same operation. (See “Setting the Scanning Function for [Start],” on p.

NOTE
You can use the machine for only a local scanner (connected directly to your computer).
1 Place the document face-down on the platen glass or load it
face-up in the ADF

When you use [Start] for the first time, a folder with the scanning date will be created in
the [My Pictures] folder in the [My Documents] folder, and your document will be

I work in insurance and need the date to show on the pictures I take. I have tried everything. I have a Nikon D40. Can you tell me how to get the date to show on the pictures.

The date (and a lot more information) is saved with every picture in what's called the EXIF data. Whatever program you're using to print should have an option to print the date either on the picture or in the margin (or even on the back). Refer to the documentation for the program.

If you want to see the date on the screen, most picture viewers also can show this data. For example, in Windows Explorer, simply hover the mouse over the picture.

If you need more information, please specify the program(s) you're using and we'll try to help you.

I need to know how to set time and date for pictures. then to be able to take the time and date off for next set of pictures.

You need to install the bundled software(Sony PMB) to be able to save the images with date. Once installed use the Easy export(PC Sync) and then choose import images-> then put a tick in the check box "import images with time and date". That should do the trick.

I've gotten a response to my question about why the date won't print on pictures (thank you - the entire MANUAL will prove quite helpful, but...there's more): Why doesn't the date AUTOMATICALLY appear on...

"C'est la vie" I'm afraid. You may be able to buy a camera which has this feature, part of the research process before you buy.

I personally wouldn't want to see the date printed on a picture. It is worth noting though, that each picture file (.jpg) does retain the time and date it was created. So the information you need is stored, after a fashion.

Go to your photo's folder, RMB click on one of the photo icons and select properties from the drop down menu.

It's worth noting thought that if the photo is re-saved or edited and saved. The date will be altered.

Date stamp function on Sony Cybershot S750 camera

This Camera doesn't have the feature to superimpose the date on the pictures. By using the supplied Picture Motion Browser Software, you can print or save the pictures with date.
Refer the following link to use the supplied Picture Motion Browser Software to print or save the pictures with date.

How to change a date in a picture file created by a kodak cx6330 camera

Depends which date.
 - The file date can be done by resetting the computer date, opening the file, saving it as something else, change the computer back, delete the old file and rename the "save as" file.
 - If you mean the date in the EXIF data, you need an EXIF editor - Google for PhotoME.

Cant find manual. need help figuring out how to get the date to show on the photos

The Date and time is not printed to the photo. the details are saved withe exif details when the picture is taken. These details can be accessed using the info button when viewing the picture. or, once the picture is saved to your pc the exif details can be viewed with your software or if you right click on the picture and select properties, select the summary tab, then click on advanced. this will bring up the exif details giving you all the information relating to that picture.

hope this heps

Sony DSC-W55, how to make the date to appear on the picture itself?

This camera doesn't give you the option to have the dates on the pictures. The manual says there is a Picture Motion Browser software that comes with the camera that could do it.
Hope that helps.
