Toshiba satellite p35-2611 2 inch(1

Toshiba satellite p35-S611 2 inch(1" light white, 1" a little darker) right next to each other blicking vertically across entire screen. its there as soon as the screen comes on at pre boot, post boot and while windows is up... it is transparent so i can see through it... other colors come through no problem... but its very annoying and im guessing its going to lead to a worse problem if i let it continue... any thoughts?

The worse thing it could be is the lcd going out in a very bad way. Yes likely to get wrose over time, No not the video card because it happends on every screen, boot, preboot, and windows so guess what? If you have the lcd replaced you will be looking at a good laptop once again. Price aroung $75-100 bucks where? Ebay of all sources. Thanks I hope this was Very Helpful to you if so lay ing your ratings.

Toshiba satellite pro p100 screen problem

The LCD can be replaced. The part is around $50-$75 I believe. It can be tricky to replace, but if you take your time, you can save money by doing it yourself. The screen sounds cracked or broken, and black & white will not work either.

good luck

Toshiba L675D, black spots

Your screen is shot or partially disconnected. A lot of laptops have the vid card to lcd connect in bracket that connects the screen to the keyboard. I have fixed many by siimply taking it apart and reconnecting the clip but the spots dont sound good. Ebay to buy one or Cl to dump it as a fixer. Either way its a waste of money to have someone fix it for you unless you do it yourself.

When you get vertical lines from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen, it means you have bad LCD panel, you need the new one. It will get worst with more lines as time goes by.

Pink vertical line

From what you discribe it sounds like you have a row of dead pixels.

You can use this website to test for dead pixels:
http://www.gdargaud.net/Hack/DeadPixels.html

If you run the test and confirm that you have dead pixels, contact the laptop's manufacturer for support.

LCD Screen turned opaque at two places, I see two white opaque lines 3 inches wide one on left side of screen and other in the middle

Yes you are correct. I would say 95% of the time, you will need a LCD screen replacement. Also be sure to disconnect and reconnect the lcd cables, at the motherboard and behind the lcd itself, just to make sure the cables aren't making bad connection.
I have provided you a link to MANY lcd screen for your laptop on EBAY.

Toshiba 57LX177: Right side of screen darker than left

I am not sure...but I have the identical problem. I believe the vertical lines are caused by the inverter board and the darkness is caused by the one of the back lights that needs to be replaced. I am tearing my unit apart now and will find out.

Vertical lines in my laptop screen

Hi,
what i recommend you to test is to press behind your monitor and see that the line goes off or not.If it does..that mean you have a loose connection,it can be fix.Incase no then you have problem with your LCD.Normally if its LCD problem then you fix this problem, all you have to do is change the LCD.
goodluck,takecare.
