Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
The problem is probably one of two things.
First check that you have cold water coming to the machine, by taking off the cold hose and then cracking the valve running water into a bucket to make sure there is water coming. While the hose is off make sure that the screen at the washer is not plugged. It will be right inside where you hook the hose up.
If that all checks out then the solenoiud valve is bad. This valve body is the part that you connect the hoses too. There are little electric valves that open and shut to allow the water to flow into your machine. If the cold doesnot open then no water flows.
Verify that you are getting power to the cold side of the vavle before replacing it. But usually it is the valve and not an electrical probelm....
I hope that this will help you to solve your problem!
