Pin won't open my tray :( Help please?. Read more ... I was lucky to find a rubber band in my junk drawer and it ...
there is a very small hole in under the tray near the eject botton. u can use tiny pins to push in there to open the cd tray. its called emergency tray opener
Open the top cover of your CD using a screw driver, (usually a star screw driver),. Then, manually turn the driving gear of the CD tray to free the stucked tray and until to the point where you can take the disc from the tray. Be careful so the setting of the tray and the laser eye is not change. Then, close the close the cover and play. You can send your e-mail thru fix ya to let me know.
Since I accidentally left my drip pan inside the unit and preheated the unit without checking, I am now without a drip pan. The unit really heats up fast and likes to melt plastic. Anyhow, I used a cookie sheet underneath that has a lip around it to catch the drippings. I would suggest that you place your whole unit on a cookie tray so no matter where the grease runs out it will go on the cookie sheet and not your counter.
To solve this problem, I unplugged the power cord then use a knife to
open the DVD door from the top down. On the left side under the DVD
tray is a small white gear. Use a knife or small screw driver and turn
the gear toward the right (counter clockwise). The tray will start to
open. You should be able to pull the tray out and remove the disk.
