SOURCE: CCD-TRV308 - TAPE DOOR WON'T OPEN

depends where the tape is located if it's still wrapped around the head i would recommend taking it in if it's inside the cassette you can have to take the door off and see if it pops out.
Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.

when mechanism pops out to eject, wait until it completly comes out, deattache battery immediately, and Pull lever as per below mentioned picture. Cassette door will be open and place cassette. Close it and attache the battery. Camera is ready to Record or Playback.

SOURCE: Sony Video 8 Handycam CCD-FX411tape problem

I have a handy can and had trouble with the cage closing with a tape installed. I found the most unlikely problem the rotation of the drun was slowing up and then siezed eventually.
I took it apart abd it was not a good idea to go any farther into the cage to extract the drum. The drum goes for over 250 dollars the price of half of the camera. Well I figure what the heck I experimented. I soaked the hole cage and drum in Denatured alcohol and unn siezed it. then I blew it out with the air compressor and really made the head spin. Then as I put the unit back together I found i was not careful with the audio ribon cable lost sound but the unit did work for silent movies. It was junk anyways over 250 dollar 3 head drum.

SOURCE: My tape deck on an old CCD-TR91 Camera will not go

When you got your camera, did you receive a VCR adapter that you can put the 8mm in and then pop it into your VCR?
It will be pretty spendy to have somebody do it for you if you want it done professionaly.
I hope thisw helps.

Bang & Olufsen 2200. Tape deck wire connection?

The orange wire connects under the tape cassette deck there are two pointed lugs under the tape deck on the left and right hand side - slide cable over and the other black wire is a cable tie and connects to the right hand side of the cassette bracket and ties the cables coming from the cassette heads to the cassette deck. Remove the screw and push the screw through the loop and put it back where it was

MHC1500 Sony tape player is stuck! got deck door open, but tape will not eject. does not appear to be any loose tape. How can I get the tape cassette outf?

Prying the door open is not the first thing that should have been done. The mechanism for the tape transport is having a problem in that it either need service or the belt is too loose. A Technician would open the deck get the mechanism in the stop mode and then eject the tape. Any other way just damages the unit and might make it unrepairable.

I have a nikko cassette deck nd 790 and the tape wont play

Most likely the belts in it are broken or loose. If you don't have the time or inclination to work on the deck yourself, then send it off to a good Technician. I am not sure I have seen more than a couple of these in 40 years but it is likely that I could fix it.

Sony Beta sp deck 1800 wont take larger tape down

Most likely problem when a Beta SP deck won't take the large tapes is a bad cable in the cassette housing. Replacement isn't too difficult, and the cable only costs about $20.00.

My handycam sony steady shot , the tape deck will not open

Try using the battery charger while attempting to eject it. The battery, although you may not know it, probably cannot supply the power needed to open the tape deck. If it makes a little Ding sound when you press the eject button, that means it is trying to eject the tape. Hope this helps!

Videotape dubbing deck dead

Hi,

1. Check to see if a tape is jammed inside (see 284 Extract a Jammed Videotape).
2. Try changing the video input and/or output source. Many VCRs have two ways to receive and send a video signal (coaxial and video direct). If that works, try changing the cable for the other method to see whether you need a new cable.
3. Clean tape heads (see How to Clean VCR Heads).
4. Open VCR and inspect any belts that are accessible (see 284 Extract a Jammed Videotape). A drive belt may be broken or loose.

If tapes are getting stuck / enmeshed inside the machine, itis 90% probability) a mechanical problem. Change the Belts, clean all rollers, idlers, and braking pads.
I would suggest that you also replace the Capstan Pinch Roller.

Goodluck..
