Question about Bissell Lift-Off(R) Revolution(R) Turbo Upright Vacuum
I have a Bissell Lift Off Bagless 12 amp vacuum; Model 3750, serial # 04041600712S. It made a rubber smell and then brush stopped turning. I disassembled the brush and cleaned it out. It did not look like anything was stopping it. The rubber band looked fine so I left it in. The beater bar still will not work. I think the thermal cut off switch is activated but I can't figure out how to reset the switch or even find. Unfortunately, I have lost the manual.
If you have a rubber smell, then the belt is slipping, does the brush roll turn freely while holding the ends? If not then replace it, part #2036619, if it is ok, then the belt has strectched and is slipping under load, part # 2106679, Style 8.
