its just a website no need to get insulted. i did thank you, but i was requesting a specific model fan... I've never built a machine (for myself) from scratch b4 unless it was for someone else and they bought all the parts and now what i am doing is taking a 7 year old low end business model, and hopefully making it compete with maybe some of 06 or 07s mid range gaming models... i am within a budget that is the only reason i am upgrading such an old machine so I'm unsure as of how this will end if I offended u i am sry, but i gave u my true thoughts on your answer im not gonna give u kudos or watever on something u didnt answer correctly... you may have told me the right type of fan... but i need a model something that will fit this processor... remember budget....

The computer shuts down after 10 to 30 min..I have already change the fan.

When computers shut down like this they are getting the signal from the motherboard. This is most likely a thermal shutdown signal from the processor. When you changed the fan, did you clean the processor off and apply a small thin layer of thermal paste? The processor may not be cooling properly or the motherboard is getting a bad signal from the processor's thermal circuit. Try new thermal paste on the processor and then go through the board again and make sure everything is in its place. Also, leave the side panel off and see if the system stays running, this will aid in the cooling. Let us know if it works, if not we may have more ideas to help.

My computers cooling fan keeps speeding up and slowing down is that a good thing or a bad thing

I'm assuming your desktop has an AMD processor?
AMD have a process called "quiet and cool" this basically speeds up the fan when the processor is under load and getting hot or slows it down when the processor isn't working as hard.

Cpu fan

If you're talking about the fan on your processor that is very noisy and you already clean it and still the same
you will need to replace the fan already because sooner or later that fan will not function properly anymore
and it will cause your system some overheating....

Don't forget to rate the solution FIXYA thank you...........

New motherboard and cpu: no post

I have encountered that kind of problem before in the AMD processor. When your turn on the switch the fan is spins and then suddenly stop. The processor is shorted or there is defective parts you need to return it to the supplier. But can you check first if the motherboard and the processor is match . Maybe the motherboard cannot carry the speed of the processor it's better to ask to the supplier or ask them to test both the processor and motherboard .

Raidmax Scorpio ATX Mid-Tower Case

The on/off connector is the power labelled one. The one thing you may have to do is (if you have'nt already)connect the power connector from the PSU to the processor power supply, close by to it as it may not just run off the motherboard ZIF socket for it's power up.
