Dial #4357*4357 To unlock your phone, it works if you don't know the last four digits of the pervious number. (it worked for me) Thanks liljrab

YOU GUYS. THEY PROLLY ALSRDY SET IT WITH THE LAST 4 DIGITS OF THEIR NUMBER. SO IF U DNT KNOW UR NUMBER YET OR U GTO THAT PHNOE FROM A FRND OR ANY1..JUST GO TO
3RD: GO ALL THE WAY DOWN AND PRESS PHONE INFO.THEN PRESS OK.
THEN THEY'LL GIVE U THE NUMBER..REMEMBER THE LAST 4 DIGITS.
AND GO BACK TO THE SETTINGS, THEN PRESS PHONE SETTING.. AND GO TO SECURITY,AND THEN THEY'RE GONNA ASK U FOR THE CODE...TRY ENTERING THE LAST 4 DIGITS OF UR NUMBER. THEN IT MIGHT LET U IN.
I HOPE IT HELPS..CUZ THATS HOW I UNLOCKED MINE. CUZ I DIDNT LOCK MINE IT LOCKED IT ITSELF.. SO DONT PAY ANYONE TO UNLOCK IT FOR YAH..THATS WHAT THEY DO...SOO JUST DO IT UR SELF. ULL SAVE MORE MONEY.

After a few hours messing with bitptm, OXed, a handful of unlock codes, all which a easily obtained free on the internet I managed to unlock a verizon lg8550 prepaid phone that was locked from being transfered to a monthly plan number. I don't exactly know how I did because I tried many different approaches but I pretty sure that linking the phone with your computer via bluetooth, then renaming the connection on the pgone 000000, then opening up its files with bitpim then using terminal romote server access on my (standered on macs)to zap the phone with a script that tricked it into running the ##77647268550 code as the dialing sequence on a modem connection that forced 000000 via a combination of the bluetooth name and the script" sudo pico /etc/ppp" enter, your computer password then the script "refuse-chap refuse-mschap refuse-mschap-v2" and the mock internet connection named 000000 to blast that lock into submission. As soon as I figure out the most effiencent step by step procedure I will post here. Hopes this points you in the right direction

If it's not the last 4 of the phone # and it hasn't been reset it's the last 4 digits of ESN DEC.

All you need to do is find someone with a computer and QPST.
The service programming code is 000000.

Tips for a great answer:
First if phone is lock dial *228 and then
press 1. That reset your code for last four digit of your cell #
(phone will reset ,no any data will be lost)
If you do not know a cell # and phone is still lock then press .
#4357*4357.and you can see phone number that's your lock code last four digit... That's for LG VX8500 (VERIZON)
Here's good news and bad news. The good news is that you might
well have forgotten that the default password on the phone is 00000000 (that's
eight zeroes). The bad news is that if you've changed it to something else and
that's what you've forgotten, you might well need to take the phone in to a
service center to have them help you break it back open
