mine had the same problem, replaced the fuse with a T2.5 amp.
Ammeter gave a reading of 1.6A across the fuse pads so we shall see if its pops...

It is very common when the magnetic heads got dirty. Buy a Mini DV cleaning tape, follow the instruction clean the heads by playing the cleaning tape for a while. Record NEW video and playback to test.
Please know if you play the old video recorded buy the dirty heads, you may not get clear picture, because here is not correct data recorded on the tape.

Can you please post what version of windows you are using. As well as what type of Computer you have or type of Video Card you have if you know specifically.
