I have recently found my Xbox 360 looking like this. http://i47.tinypic.com/2ia8mtz.jpg I do not have money to pay someone to repair it or to go get a new one. I just want it fixed.
The unit will have to be disassembled and the drive opened up. the gear and belt can be reinstalled if the retaining clip that holds the gear isn't broke. If it is I would recommend getting a new drive off of ebay. They range in price depending on which model drive is in it. Usually around $25 - $50. The drive will have to be flashed in order to work, but what I do is purchase the new drive and swap out the control boards. Some models will require a soldering iron to remove some of the wires. Then just reassemble and your good to go. Check out this video on youtube here.

My xbox is over 3 years old. I do not have a warranty on it.
