Question about Maytag PYE2300AY Electric Dryer
UNPLUG DRYER. Use a putty knife between the front and top there are two clips to push in as you raise the top on the left and right side. When you get the top up you will see the heating element in the very back. There are 2 hi- limit or thermal fuses one on top of the heater and one on the right side. These should both measure 0 ohms. If not replace them both, they come in a kit part #LA-1053 retail is $23.30. They sometimes fail but the most likely cause is poor air flow. Clean you dryer vent thoroughly all the way through to avoid this happening again.
