Question about GE GSS22JF Side by Side Refrigerator
I have almost the identical problem posted By we0674 on Nov 22, 2009
I have a GE side by side ref. model # GSS22JFPH WW that had a bad defrost heater. A few months ago I replaced the defrosting element (which was definitely bad) & thermostat. There is no more frost buildup but for some reason the evaporator fan sometimes stops coming on when needed. I can turn freezer setting to zero & back on or I can manually flick the fan and it then starts working again for a day or so. Is it most likely the evaporator fan itself or the main board?
By the sound of it , i would get a new evap fan,
as the power to the fan is switching on - thats why
you can flick it and get it running, the power is there.
it is a common problem with evap fans.
