Question about AT&T Blackberry Curve 8300 Smartphone

Can I use Bluetooth headset on Bluetooth enabled land-line phone?

I'm trying to find a wireless headset that I can use with my home phone (land line, cordless phone). I know I'll probably have to also purchase a new cordless home phone to make this work, but that's ok since my existing home phones are starting to ''**** out'' anyway.

My biggest question that I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere: Is there any way I could use my Bluetooth headset for this purpose? Several land-line cordless phones are now listed as ''Bluetooth Enabled''. (for example: AT&T DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone System, Model TL92278). But the description of this Bluetooth feature makes it sound like the only thing it does is allow you to make cell phone calls using the handset of your cordless land-line phone (when your cell is connected to the base unit of the cordless phone, via Bluetooth connection).

Or do I absolutely have to buy a wireless headset designed exclusively for use with a land-line phone? These headsets tend to be expensive and I would need an over-the-ear headset (only a few are on the market, priced $80 and up). The headsets using the over-the-head bands always give me bad headaches. It doesn't say anywhere in the technical details for these Bluetooth enabled phones that a Bluetooth headset can be used for regular calls that use your land-line connection.

Any suggestions?

For some reason the FixYa system listed this under the product description "AT&T Blackberry Curve 8300 Smartphone2".

My question is about any phone similar to these Cordless Phones:
(AT&T - DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone System, Model TL92278)
(VTech - DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone System, Model DS6321-3)

so I re-posted this question here, in case you have any suggestions:

Connect sony dr-tn200 bluetooth headset to samsung mx-h620 hifi

Bluetooth is a short-range (33 feet/10 meters) wireless technology that allows two Bluetooth-enabled devices to connect wirelessly and communicate between them. If your son's Samsung MX-H620 HIFI is not Bluetooth-enabled, the two devices will not be able to connect in any way. If the headset were corded (it is not because it is Bluetooth) you could plug its cord into the headphone (LINE/AUX IN) jack on the Samsung. if the Samsung system is not Bluetooth, the only option is to find a suitable Bluetooth adapter to make it Bluetooth-enabled. However, you can use the Sony headset to listen to music or make phone calls from Bluetooth-enabled devices that you own such as phone, tablet, iPod, iPad.

I lost my manual and i need connect with my phone.. How do you connect ?

Can't say for sure without knowing what type of headset, but most that I've used you can reset by holding the connect button down for 5-10 seconds and you will hear a beep to confirm it's reset. If you are asked for a password, try 0000. If not, try 1234. Go to your phones menu and enable the bluetooth. The phone should then search for available bluetooth devices in the vicinity. It should then find your headset. You then need to agree to Pair the device with your phone.

I'm trying to connect my Bluetooth to my phone but it doesnt want to pair?

first thing to do is to enable bluetooth on the phone. Then following the headset directions, set it to "pairing" mode. Then using the phone menu "search for devices" and when the headset shows up, pair it. Your phone should prompt you for a code and it should be "0000" four zero's.

Will a Bluetooth wireless headset work with a normal Blackberry phone, or does the phone have to be Bluetooth enabled?

yes, for you to use a bluetooth headset with any mobile phone, it has to be bluetooth enabled so it can have a means of connecting to the headset.
although, majority of the blackberry phones that are known should work with certain bluetooth headsets since they do not comprise of just simple mechanisms like normal mobile phones. that is just about the same way that iphones usually select special types of bluetooth headsts to work with
