Can I get a GPS signal in Malta? I have a Tom Tom 700

Route will not plan until the GPS is locked.
Soft reset on the button underneath for 30 seconds will reset the GPS receiver on a 700.
Then wait upto 4 minutes for a refreshed lock after power up

Road mate 700 won't pick up satellite signal

If this unit has an internal battery it may be bad, other wise I would reload the software or get a updated version of the operating software. Have you contacted Magellan?

Have new lap top [toshiba satellite] have connected tomtomgo 520 twice and on both occasions my wi fi connection has been disabled

Built-in FM Transmitter to transmit sound over own car stereo and lets not forget Best hands-free calling> Best guess is that your computer is finding and trying to connect to the blue tooth connection since Toshiba has blue tooth capabilities, also you could be losing the wifi signal just because the FM transmitter is overpowering the the wifi signal. If i had to guess though i would go for the blue tooth connection as being the problem. Hope this helps

My computer does not recognize tomtomgo 700 and cannot access the device.

Have you tried your re-set button, I had the same problem, I held the re-set button in for 10 sec with a paper clip and now it works perfectly.
