    I have a Velbon 450 Victory tripod, and need the plate that snaps in the top to which the camera is mounted. Any ideas?

    I'm also missing a quick release plate. Unfortunately I have not been able to find any tech support or parts listing for Velbon on the INTERNET. The support link to the factor in Japan on the Velbon web page does not work.

Where can I get parts?

I got from friend a Velbon Victory 550 tripod. The handle that prevent the head from tilting is missing, and so is a piece of plastic that apparently held the rod upon which the head of the tripod is placed from shaking.

thank you

Velbon Victory 451 camera tripod. Need manual please.

Question edited for full 'make model (what it is)'.
Question moved from Car Audio to a better category.

My first tripod was a Velbon. When I started wedding photography, I bought a bigger one for a Bronica medium format camera.

They don't really come with manuals, as they are pretty self explanatory. You can tighten them all down and undo one knob and see what moves. Tighten that and see what happens with the next knob.

Basically though;

You have 3 knobs or clips to extend the legs for height.
You have one knob to raise and lower the central pole. Often this can be used as a monopod.
Then you have the 'Fluid Head', with three adjustments;
1. Pan, this allows the head to move left and right.
2. Tilt, this is normally controlled by turning the stalk that you hold.
3. A knob to turn the camera base Landscape or Portrait.
4. Some have drag/friction knobs and various locks.

There are empty promises of manuals in this link, but there is a video on the Velbon Fluid Head.

I Need the Manual for VELBON LEB-30C tripod where can i get it

You need a quick release plate in order to attach you camera to your tripod, it fits into the opening of the adapter on the tripod and you screw the plate into your camera, take a look at www.tripodquickrelease.com they carry Velbon quick releases and adapters.

How much weight will the Velbon Victory 250 Tripod hold?

The tripod will certainly hold this weight. However the limiting factor is the head. Without knowing the head you have mounted on the tripod I'm afraid I can't tell you whether it would hold your camera and lens.

Try this site: http://www.tripodquickrelease.com/Velbon_Quick_Releases.htm#Old%20Velbon%20Reference

Based on your Tripod CX-640 the quick release you need is Velbon QB-5LC. The website gives you pictures to verify.
