Can't find my type of webcam in your files It is an older model with dark lens ring

it had to do with the aperture ring on the lens - make sure it's locked. You'll need to lock you aperture ring at the largest aperture, in order to make the body work it's magic. If you by an accident twist the AP ring you'll get the "F--" error

If you're using G type lenses this is not at problem due to the lack of AP ring on those type of lenses

some webcams have a focus ring around the lens that has to be rotated to achieve a good image - others rely on software for focal length

you need a 2.0 USB for optimum performance

You may have to reinstall your software if its corrupt

Visit the Logitech website and browse the photo gallery for your model and click on the photo to navigate to the support page.

In addition to the Logitech installer you will need to check the support software - Microsoft DirectX . This comes pre-loaded on most Windows computers but has to be updated - I am currently on version 11
To start the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, click 'Start', click 'Run', type dxdiag in the Open box, and then click OK
Run through the tabs checking the 'notes' windows for information
The version will be shown on the 'Systems' tab

Procedure to re-install Logitech software
Close all programs while uninstalling - downloading and uploading software
Disconnect your webcam
Uninstall the current webcam software on your computer
Restart computer
Download the Installation package from Logitech
Run the installer and choose your options during the installation - You may not want Logitech Chat but the Desktop icon for the webcam toolbar is a must.
Connect your webcam when prompted.

The webcam may be a Logitech Orbit
Check to see if you have a focus ring around the lens to sharpen the image
Make sure the USB port you are using is 2.0 (enhanced)
You may have to re-install your software

In addition to the Logitech installer you will need to download DirectX 9 or later to support your webcam

If the webcam has a ring on the front of the lens trying turning it while on the free webcam test site. You can see the focus change as you adjust it. Also try the free tips in the article How to Improve Your Webcam Video Quality. Lighting makes a huge difference.

You may have to reload the software - does it have a focus ring around the lens you can rotate to sharpen the image ?

go to come on if not try pressing Thur ring on the camera to get it to come on, control panel remove the camera software, unplug camera reinstall software with out camera connected then after the software has been installed hook up the camera, click on the camera icon and turn on the camera a green light should on next twist the bezel ring to focus the the lens of the camera and then use the light and darkness setting to get the camera works right.

Usually this happens when the computer is "well-traveled" or an older model. It's likely that the lens is just dirty. Use a camera cleaning kit (usually less than $10 at Wal-mart) and clean the lens. If you don't have access to a camera cleaning kit, use 99% alcolol and a Q-tip. DON'T USE ISOPROPYL (RUBBING) ALCOHOL. Isopropyl alcohol is only 70% alcohol and will leave a residue on the lens that will be just as bad as the dirt.

The problem seems to be with webcam settings. Go to the settings of webcam and tweak the contrast and brightness options. But do remember the original positions just in case you want to revert back. Also rotate the ring around the lens both clockwise and anticlockwise to focus on your face for a clearer picture.

TYPE IT AND DOWNLOAD IT.

AND INSTALL IT IN UR COMPUTER....

Ok, all I can think of is, that on the front of the camera there is an "Adjusting Ring" on the front of the "Lens" that can be adjusted on most cameras to adjust "Focus". try that? Plus actually clean the lens with a "Cotton Bud" or the like.
