Question about Broadcom Computers & Internet
If you can successfully install the drivers for the wireless adapter on your system, then the adapter itself is functioning properly. Your only problem in this case is that your antenna is either defective or not connect properly to the wireless adapter card. The problem might be solved in this case by either replacing the antenna or just making sure its connection to the wireless adapter card is not loose.
In worst case scenario, you can buy a PC Card wireless adapter, insert it into the PCMCIA slot & use it as a replacement for the defective wireless adapter. You can also buy a USB wireless adapter as a second choice.
