Ok what type of amp are we talking about, what impedence and voice coils are your subs, and have you checked power, ground, fuses, etc... a quality amplifier kicker, jl, mtx, rockford... etc... should, if set up and wired properly, last you a very long time... I actually had a kicker amp since 96 and it still worked great to the day i gave it to my buddy... That's 11 years old with no issues...

Check for OBD 2 Codes ,Google them,
then take to a repair shop

You can't work on today's cars yourself,
without the knowledge & tools of the trade

Read your owners manual?

Ever take the car to a shop a couple times
a year to get it checked out ,when it does work
correctly- that's what you need to do

Never stop working on them & testing them &
collecting data, when they work properly

Now you STOP using it until properly diagnosed
& repaired

Report code no p 0430

Failed Exhaust Converter, that should have lasted 15 years

So you have had cylinder misfires, vacuum leaks, leaking injectors or something for months, that went undetected
& have ruined the converter

Now All ,All Issues Must be resolved BEFORE a new converter goes on

Stay away from the franchise & mall places & find a real
old time shop that has been there for decades

That could have been avoided, if you worked on your vehicles,
or had then checked out a couple times a year

This is happening to everyone, because they live in the
past, when you drove a car & took it in only when it broke

Can't do that with todays technology

I was driving my 2005 dodge Dakota today and my transmission overheated I let it sit and the overheat warning went off in no time... well half way home my tire literally started smoking and it was coming...

Failure to change your brake fluid every 2 years
Neglect to take the brakes apart once a year to
remove rust,inspect parts & lube things,plain & simple
Now you need new calipers, new rubber flex hoses, &
service the rear as well & flush the complete system
If the trans overheated that may have to come out & be
rebuilt, don't tell me no on the trans I used to own a trans shop
You change trans & power steering fluids every 3 years or less
Why would you drive one mile with a trans warning light & then
smoke from a seized caliper
Also the over heated caliper may have ruined your wheel hubs
Don't mean to be hurtful, but you have to work on vehicles a
couple times a year, take things apart for no reason in most
peoples minds
You should never have has one issue on a 2005 vehicle,
it's neglect,I'm sorry

92 Toyota 4runner truck was running perfectly fine Later in the day went to start and the alarm just started going off and wouldn't turn off. Truck won't start even with keys turned in igniti

The alarm system somehow got activated , this is usually because the battery becomes discharged or disconnected try doing this:
Remove the key from the ignition
disconnect the negative battery terminal
put the key back in and turn to ON
exit the truck and leave door open
reconnect the battery terminal
get in and leave door open, if the alarm horn stays off it should start.

My audi a4 2001 will not start first time but after a few turns it starts

It will run with timing belt off only a couple of teeth

That could be your problem, as you were told, still have
to do some kind of testing or look at some data

What troubles me, is you paid for something & expected
results.

When you say serviced, I will assume you talking a dealer
possibly, not that it matters where you went, they should be
checking the entire car.

Not to pitch you more work or expense, but to inform you
of the vehicles overall condition.

That doesn't seem to ever be done

I actually stop using all my vehicles for up to a
week,sometimes twice a year & go completely
thru them. I have done that for 50 years come the
end of this month. I have problems like everyone,
but I also know what does work & the overall condition
of most of the vehicle.

There is no guessing when something happens,I go
to the things I don't know about,as I know how
everything else is performing

Amp staying on but cutting out?

Hello Willb2396,

Actually you answered your own question in your paragraph. I draw your attention to your statement of:
"It will work for as long as I'm driving I will park my car, and when I turn it back on every thing will be working just fine and, then a couple minutes later, amp cuts out and won't hit for a couple hours or a couple days.... I have checked the sub multiple times and I don't see it being the sub or the amp"

You are correct it is neither the Sub nor the Amp. The problem is either your voltage regulator or your alternator. one and or the other is going bad.

Here is some advice check your ground wires, the buy a dual alternator kit, it contains the parts you will need to add an additional alternator to your car. This will provide the power you need.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,
