Charmglow electric fireplace bad remote control

I purchased a Charmglow electric fireplace from Home Depot 2 years ago. Model #61129.
All is working well except for the remote. Anyone know where I can purchase a replacement remote?

I confirmed the remote is bad by viewing the IR lens of the remote with a camcorder by the way. Any other remote lights up brilliantly on the camera except for the Charmglow remote. It gave out a dim momentary blink once but no more. New batteries and all.

I contacted Home Depot and they could not help. I could not find any Charmglow sites on the internet either. When I enter ''www.charmglow.com'' it redirects to Home Depot.

Here is the home site for Charmglow - you could try to call them and see what they say. I would hope they want to keep their customers:

I need to get a manual for a Charmglow electric fireplace Model # CGN250TED-C 25,000 BTU Pure Comfort solutions and I cant find a website, i need to know where to change it from natural gas to propane. ...

I am almost totally confused. You started out saying you have a Charmglow Electric Fireplace. Then you said you want to change it from natural gas to propane.

Could you please be a little more specific in what you have? So I can help you. As Charmglow only makes Electric Fireplaces. No gas ones.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you.

I recommended this site to another questioner who needed a remote for their electric fireplace and apparently they were successful in purchasing a universal remote kit. It's worth a try.

Charmglow electric fireplace flame does not flicker. Bulbs ok. HEF33WDG

You will have to connect a 12v dc power supply to the flame motor. The controller on the board has fried. I built a regulated 12 v dc power supply and tapped it into the bulb circuit so it will power the motor when the bulbs come on. You may have to find an electrician or techie to rig this up safely.Good luck!

If you have not had it for the full warranty period, by all means. (I would call their Customer Service number first.) Here is the site for phone numbers:

Charmglow Electric Fireplace ***NO HEAT** just lights up, HELP :(

Take the fan power switch apart and clean the 2 point contacts. Also clean the 4 male studs that the wires plug into. That should solve the problem.
