The monitor only headrest does not have audio handling circuitry in it. the wire harness for that side is the one with the red and black wire, and the two video inputs, not the harness with the red and black wire and the three RCA jacks. It will function on the wrong harness, but it is not the correct one.

The DVD headrest has two harnesses. One of them is for power and output, the other is for input only from another source. The harness with the red and black wire has the three RCA outputs... the video lead goes to the other headrest, and the audio can be fed to an aux input on a stereo or amplifier. The input harness is designed to be Video 2 input from either a gaming system (a Game Cube is a nice option), or another DVD or video source (hand held video device such as iPod or Smart Phone like a HTC Touch Pro 2).

You seem to know alot about this product. I need to order a part for my slave monitor. I can't find any info on how to reach this company, do you have any links you can forward to me? The screen has gone dark. I repair Samsung LCDs so this shouldn't be to difficult if I can get the right parts for it. Thanks

I have a forj dvd72hr headrest dual dvd player and I'm trying to get movies to play from an SD card but so far they won't play the formats I have done (MP4,AVI,and MKV) anyone know anything about this??

You can put the SD cards in the player? or did you try to burn the video on a DVD?
The last will only work if you recode the MP4 AVI or whatever, back to the original DVD format. You can make a region free DVD.

Where can I get a replacement remote for my DVD player

You can go to an electronics store or some place like Best Buy or Wal-Mart and pick up a universal remote fairly cheaply. It should have to instructions with it so you can program it for your DVD player and your tv. Just ask an employee at one of these places for help in getting one that will be suitable.

If you still need them, let me know I bought one as well and it had them. I will copy them for you. I can only get the one that has the built in dvd player to get sound the other has video but no sound. Let me know if yours works.

Iv hade these forj dvd monitors installed but i can only get sound on the radio

The input harness is designed to be Video 2 input from either a gaming system (a Game Cube is a nice option), or another DVD or video source (hand held video device such as iPod or Smart Phone like a HTC Touch Pro 2).

As for why you have NO sound, press the FMTX button repeatedly till the screen displays no FM transmitting frequency. Then you should be able to turn up the volume on the DVD player headrest only.

I just bought the dual headrest from walmart and can not get the sound to work the passenger side. can anyone help me with this?or possibly tell me how to get the sound through the stereo.

To get sound out of the stereo, either run the audio output from the headrest to the aux input on your stereo, or cycle the FM transmit options using the FMTX button on the DVD player unit to a station you can tune to on your car's FM radio.

Video output not working

it sound to me like you have a broken connection on yourvideo out jack on the main unit becouse you say the lead is fine and the tv screens work with another unit.this can be caused by the plug being pulled out in a wrong angle. ask an audio dealer to chech the solder connections in the unit to see if they are making a connection with the pcb(printed circuit board. hope this helps
