if you have already tried hitting the reset button you should first remove the faceplate and check the contacts on the main unit and the back of the faceplate. if they are dirty clean them (with power off) with contact cleaner or a small eraser. if your lucky that will fix the problem but most likely you have a bad ribbon
cable. this cable attaches the faceplate contacts to the main unit and flexes as the face tilts. after time these cables get small cracks that may not be visible. you can usualy buy the part from a place like pacparts.com and replace it to solve your problem.
