You could download them to a PC, then import them to a mac, but not sure of a direct way to do so.

Yes and no depending on your computer operating system. If you have a fairly new computer lets say a PC running windows XP Home or a Mac OS X then no you don't need a CD to download or view your pictures. I'm a little rusty on PC but what I would suggest is making a folder in "My Documents" and title it I uses a date and add some clue of its content. The make sure the camera is off and the computer is on. hook up your USB cable between the computer and the camera and turn on the camera. Before doing the hook up make sure the camera has sufficient power in the batteries. Once you turn the camera on the computer may look at it and flash up a banner "found new device" it may open the camera file on your desk top as an external drive and basically that's what it is. You can then open the file, click on the first picture, then select all, copy then past them in the new folder, should only take a few seconds to download. Once there the PC will have a viewer that is called "Paint" or Explorer will open them as well. If your running a Mac just make a folder and plug the camera in and turn it on, the external drive icon will appear on your desk top, open it as you would to view select copy past. OKAY now on both these PC or Mac you must eject the camera drive don't just unplug it or ether computer and the camera will get very upset with you. You need to eject the camera drive. Great little camera by the way, has a video mode but no sound

Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/beta/downloading/ )
set it up as follows:
Go to Tools, then Options, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.

Download pictures from my Rebel EOS to my computer

Take a look at Picasa, from Google. Also take a look at Irfanview. I haven't used Irfanview in over a year (since I moved from a PC to a Mac - it's the one piece of software I really miss on my Mac), but before I moved to the Mac it was my primary photo organizer and viewer. It's a very impressive program for free software from an individual programmer (Irfan).

Hi there,

If you're a MAC user, you could still download pictures from your camera to PC.

No need for you to install any CD software because your camera will be recognized automatically as a removable disk.

Just try to make sure that you'll be using the USB cable supplied in the package and your PC does have good working USB ports.

For transferring pictures with OS (MAC):
- Turn off camera
- Plug USB cable to camera and PC
- Turn on camera
- Connect to computer or printer will come out on camera screen
- Select the desired one
- Press MENU/OK
- "New Hardware Found" will be seen on the right lower corner
- A window will pop out with various options
- Example: "Open to View Files", "Copt to a folder"...

* If nothing like those mentioned above happened,

Double check through Computer Devices with Removable storage:
- Look for DCIM folder in any of the Removable storage
- Select 100sscam folder inside DCIM folder
- Upon opening, all pictures will be viewed

Make sure to check your MAC System for the following:
- Power Mac G3 or later
- Mac OS 9.2~10.3
- Minimum 64MB RAM
- 110MB of available hard-disk space
