Just to let you know, both fans, cleaned and dusted and all parts are back together and it all seems to be working again fine!! Many thanks, you have saved us an expensive trip to the manufacturer's repair shop.

Hello

F 61 error means the failure of FAN
most probably dust in the fan made it to stop working so clean the dust and connect the fan to an external supply of 12v(using red and black wire) for 5 minutes and reconnect it to the unit otherwise replace the fan with new one.
Surely this will solve the problem.

Kind regards
Andrea

Hi Andrea,

Wish you Happy Prosperous New Year ahead of you!

I have a problem with my Panasonic Home Theater SC MT1 whose Woffer module is SB WA340. When I play it shows F61.

I have checked and noticed Fan is not working. Neither it is getting 12 V.

Secondly, one of the channel ( Central one) is making hum sound before going to F61. In cold, I mean when I try I t will play for 30 to 60 sec before going to F61 and the channel is also making hum sound. When I remove the speaker it does not make sound.

Do you think it is Fan problem or with its power module RSN311W64BP

Pl. suggest how do I rectify this problem.

Regards,

Apurba

I have the f61 code on a panasonic surround sound. should both fans spin on power up?

Pretty sure both fans should turn. If the unit senses the fan not turning, it will shut down as you are describing. Try taking the label off of the fan so you can see the bearing, and put a couple drops of oil in there. This sometimes get them to turn freely again.

Turn on dvd panasonic sc-ht440 the display see me f61

Hi, F61 is and amp error code. probably needs an output ic. could be a shorted speaker or bad cooling fan. Disconnect all speakers and turn it on. if the fans run and it still displays f61 then odds are very good an amp ic is bad.'''Hope it helped.

Have a nice day..

F61 error code

Sorry to hear about your error code F61

This code refers to a High Limit Temp. condition.
This is most likely caused by the cooling fan.
If the Fan has stopped running or not running at full speed, you will recv. this error message and the temp. reaches high-end limit.
Please check the cooling fan, any possible air flow restrictions and correct running RPM.

Hope this information has helped you.

NOISEY FAN

You may need a new fan, but you can try cleaning the fan. Remove fan from player. use a few drops of WD-40 or another similar lubricant, the fans label may need to be removed. Note Panasonic fans must be rotating or f61 code will appear. Hope this helps.

Error Message F61

Hi guys,
just had the f61 error code on my home theatre system, now i work with samsung dvds and tv's so the background knowledge is there ( i hope), i dont know if u guys noticed the fans making a noise whenever you switched it on before the fault happened but mine were making a hell of a noise, this prompted me to have a look inside and find 2 fans both of which were very dusty, just a 10 minute clean and a 10 min reassemble and im back up and running on all channels.

hope this helps guys
