Question about Washing Machines
My washer will fill and agitate, but will not drain. I dont hear it "click"as before when it switched from the "wash" to "spin" cycle. I opened the lid and put a screw driver into the slot that located on the top side of the washer (that when it makes contact with the lid causes it to run, or stop when the lid is lifted.) That didn't help.I mannually turned the control knob and heard some clicking but still no change. I hope that you have a solution to why my washer wont drain or spin.
I just had the same problem and it was the lid switch. I disconnected it so to bypass the switch and now it works. A friend at work also had the same problem and called sears out and it was a stocking stuck in the drain hose. you can google a fix my washing machine and it will tell you how to repair it yourself. That is what I did with the lid switch.
