My oven light stays on and we can't turn it off unless we unscrew the bulb. It appears that it is also affecting our ability to initiate the self-cleaning oven feature. Any thoughts?

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.
The lights can can be inoperable or stuck on or stuck in "night light" mode. Sometimes this will similarly affect the fan operation or inside light, too.
The problem is on the controller assembly, which I regularly repair. Details are here.
I also have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

1 Unplug the microwave oven from the outlet. Wait 20 minutes for the capacitor that is inside the microwave to discharge. 2 Unscrew all the screws around the casing by turning them counterclockwise. 3 Remove the cover by lifting off. 4 Locate the light bulb in the microwave. This will be located on either the right or left side. 5 Unscrew the light bulb by unscrewing counterclockwise. Some light bulbs are held into the socket by two notches; for these you will need to gently push on the bulb and turn counterclockwise to unsecure the bulb, then pull out of the socket. 6 Place your new bulb in the empty socket and secure by turning clockwise until tight, or if the bulb is one with notches on both sides, then guide the notches into the slot on the socket, push gently and turn clockwise until clicked into position. 7 Replace the cover and screw back on. You are now done and may plug back in the microwave.

This is far less than a replacement circuit board, assuming it's even available anymore.
