Using up batteries even when off

Hi. Noticed that our C315 is "eating" batteries, meaning that they deplete quickly even with the camera off (using lithium batteries)

Here are the steps:
1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher).
2. Clean the battery contacts.
a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth.
b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera
3. Turn on your camera without the memory card.

Camera will not come on. I bought new battery for it and still nothing

As long as the battery is fully charged, if it doesn't work, the only solution is to return it to the maker for repair.

With items like this, the battery depletes over time itself even if it isn't used. I have some very good rechargeable batteries that will deplete in my camera if left for 3 months.

When I try to take a picture it say battery depleted....what is the meaning of that

this usually means that the battery needs to be replaced or recharged. if the battery if fully charged it maybe that the rating of the battery is too low and the internal system decides that the battery power level even when fully charged is not enough for the taking of pictures.

try and battery with a higher ah rating. if the battery is a vendor specific block battery and not the usual. off the shelf aa and aaa type etc then speak to your dealer about the problem or a replacement battery. it would be useful to know the model of the camera in question.

i hope this was helpful

My batterry door is broken I don't know how to put

KODAK doesn't sell battery doors for any of their models.

A repair for this fault is 24,47 pounds + shipping to the repair centre.
If you already have the battery door; I suggest you will have a local camera TECH to attach the door to the unit.

The camera burns through batteries. Can this problem be repaired?

This is normal with Kodak digital cameras. Use good old AA alkaline batteries instead of the Kodak expensive battery pack. Make sure you use the viewfinder and keep the LCD display off as much as possible. The LCD display will deplete the batteries in about 4 hours if left on. Use the quick view option to see what the picture you just took looks like.

Bought a new camera card for my easyshare camera C315 5.0 megapixels keeps saying it must format then gives me an error e00100 what does this mean?

first, i need to know the size of your memory card. The C315 only supports up to 2 GB memory cards. It could also mean that the card is defective, try using another memory card. Memory cards have up to 5 years warranty. Check with the store where you purchased the card.

Cam not shutting off or recharging.

Sounds like the camera shorted out. Using a camera at night temperatures could cause condensation, especially moving from outdoors to indoors and vice versa. If it is under warranty, time to send it in. I would guess it needs a new system board.

Camera not operating - cannot take picture

alkaline batteries?
please try lithium crv3 or lithium aa's, it may really do that even with a new set of alkaline aa's
if you're using ni-mh, make sure it's recharged and if it is, and it's still doing the same thing.. note that most ni-mh's life span is 300 charging cycles. if you barely use the rechargeable batteries, they can still deteriorate through time. if the rechargeable batteries are new, or say 6 month's old - that means the cam actually needs a repair

Camera will playback but wont take pictures

I found that the e550 eats batteries very quickly if the memory card is full (or nearly so).  I have installed a 512MB XD card.
