Question about Heating & Cooling
If your furnace indeed has a pilot, a thermocouple or gas valve is your culpret. Thermocouple is about ten bucks from The Home Cheapo so it is a good inexpensive start. That is the copper stick that the pilot flame hits. Turn off the gas and electric when changing it. If it still won't light then you will need a qualified HVAC tech to replace your gas valve.
