If your furnace indeed has a pilot, a thermocouple or gas valve is your culpret. Thermocouple is about ten bucks from The Home Cheapo so it is a good inexpensive start. That is the copper stick that the pilot flame hits. Turn off the gas and electric when changing it. If it still won't light then you will need a qualified HVAC tech to replace your gas valve.

Per Rudd's website and also as the name implies, the min rating is 90. The 90+ can be as high as 93 but is stated as "plus" to cover the many possible installation scenarios which will impact overall efficiency of the unit.

Goodman gmt070 inductor fan clicks on, pilot glows, nothing

Possible bad igniter...igniter should read somewhere from 50-90 ohms. If not it is going bad. Remove igniter (don't touch carbon silicon rods) see if you see minute cracks or white spots. If ohms testing reads in 90 or above range , replace igniter. ( note some rheem, rudd and weather king igniters normal ohm range can be 130-150 ohms).. You might also want to check the igniters connections and control board module to make sure the the igniter is betting the proper voltage to get the igniter hot enough.. 110 volts or about is the input norm to the igniter.

I have Rudd hot air gas furnace. The ignitor sparks and lights the fire but as soon as the ignitor goes off the fire goes out, flame light doesn't go on. What could be the cause?

Hi, Check the flame sensor next to the pilot. It should be a ceramic rod with a metal tip that rests in the pilot flame. It may be dirty. Clean the tip with steel wool real good and make sure it is in the pilot flame good. This will cause that condition to happen. If this doesn't take care of it, get back to me and we will go from there. Should solve you're problem. Merry Christmas,

Fails to ignite, sparks but pilot will not ignite. have had problems with pilot going our for about three months. Thought attic air flow was the problem. closed off air vents in area of heater. problem...

Sometimes the pilot orrifice get plugged up and need to be taken apart and cleanned,,,,,, adjust the pilot flame on the gas valve, or check gas going to the unit to see if the in-line gas valve is opening and closing.

Relighting the pilot for a rudd heating and air

I dont know of any manufactor that makes a stand alone pilot anymore. (pilot you have to lite). The pilot should lite itself when you turn on the heat.
