Question about Sierra Land designer

1 Answer

Sierra Land designer will not install and run, where's the program? I have tried in each CD and DVD drives on this Windows XP system. The install does a fake-out play. After selecting "Install" the disk spins up and gives up nothing. It's like it doesn't know where to unload or what files it has to move. I searched the disk to try dragging off what I thought would do the job but no deal. This program is busted.

How does Windows XP Mode work?

Windows XP Mode works in two ways-both as a virtual operating system and as a way to open programs within Windows 7. It runs in a separate window on the Windows 7 desktop, much like a program, except it's a fully-functional, fully-licensed version of Windows XP. In Windows XP Mode, you can access your physical computer's CD/DVD drive, install programs, save files, and perform other tasks as if you were using a computer running Windows XP.

When you install a program in Windows XP Mode, the program appears in both the Windows XP Mode list of programs and in the Windows 7 list of programs, so you can open the program directly from Windows 7.

I lost my installation disc for windows xp pro and I needs product key code?

Its illegal for anyone to provide serial keys for programs that have retail value set on them
If you are trying to recover a key of an already installed program on your computer there are freeware keyfinders on the internet
http://download.cnet.com/%7Bvalue=http://www.download.com/magical-jelly-bean-keyfinder/3000-18487_4-10079600.html The Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a freeware utility that retrieves your Product Key (cd key) used to install windows from your registry.
It has the options to copy the key to clipboard, save it to a text file, or print it for safekeeping.

SP3 is the third and final service pack released for Microsoft Windows XP, and it eliminates many of the security holes that previously affected XP.
While Microsoft recommends that users download SP3 using Windows Update, some users are unable to do so.
However, it's easy to create a Windows XP SP3 installation CD; it requires only that you download the pack from the website and burn it to a CD-R/DVD-R using an ISO burner program.
Download the SP3 installation ISO by visiting the first link listed in the "Resources" section of this article. Save it to your Desktop.
Download ImgBurn and save it to your Desktop.
Double-click the installation executable for ImgBurn and click "Next."
Follow the remaining onscreen prompts and click "Finish" to complete installation of ImgBurn.
Insert a blank CD-R/DVD-R into your DVD drive.
Open ImgBurn by going to "Start," "Programs" and "ImgBurn."
Click "File," then "Browse for a source file."
Navigate to your Desktop and select the SP3 ISO file.
Click "Open."
Click the blue "ISO to CD" button located on the bottom left of ImgBurn.
The program will begin creating the Windows XP SP3 installation CD.
This process may take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes to complete depending on the speed at which the CD-R/DVD-R is being burned.
Click "OK" once the CD-R/DVD-R has finished burning.
You've successfully created a Windows XP SP3 installation CD.

The process "winlogon.exe" runs in the background.
Winlogon is a part of the Windows Login subsystem, and is necessary for user authorization and Windows activation checks. http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/proces...

Note: The winlogon.exe file is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32. In other cases, winlogon.exe is a virus, spyware, trojan or worm! Check this with Security Task Manager."
Microsoft designed Windows so many small applications perform their tasks without a user knowing about it.
Normally, this will run smoothly and without flaw, but every once in a while, an issue can come up.
Winlogon.exe is an application that runs on start-up, and its primary function is to monitor the use of other applications.
Winlogon.exe typically only runs for about a minute or two when Windows first boots up, so if for some reason it is still running five or 10 minutes later, it could be infected.
Spyware and other malware would infect this application because it can manipulate other programs in Windows, causing problems.
If this is the case, the file might need to be removed.
if you want to remove this from
Open "My Computer" and select the "C:" drive.
Double click the "Windows" folder, then select "System 32." Navigate through the System 32 folder until you find "Winlogon.exe."
Click the "Winlogon.exe" file and hit "Delete."
Select "Yes" when asked if you're sure you want to remove the program.

Hi this is peter i have a problem hat i nt figer out. trying to install Punch Home and Land Premium i get this-- Error 1305.Error reading From file C: Program Files\Punch! Home and Land Premium\ tool...

Hello peter4927,

An, "Error 1305" message mean that; your computer is unable to read the "Program Disc" properly.

This error can occur if your CD or DVD is damaged, dirty, or caused by dust.

This can happen, if another program is "preventing your computer from reading the "Program!"
You will also receive this error if the "Disc Drive" is damaged or dirty.
Try cleaning the "Disc" first!
"Use a Disc Cleaner, to clean the CD-ROM / DVD Drive.
Place the "Program Disc in the Disk Drive; then "Restart the Computer!"
This will have the CD, or DVD start-up {Automatically}.
Next, you can try to start the "Disc" by using the "Auto-Run."
To do so; place the 'Disc' in the "Disc Drive Tray."
Next, [right click] on the "Computer Icon" to open the 'computer window'.
Now, right click, on the Disc Drive, and select the either, "Open, Explore or {Auto-run}.
Hopefully it will start.
Repeat each action if necessary!
"If there is anything else, you may need help with?
Write a 'comment,' I'll be here to assist you!"
"Best Regards"

Description
Windows XP was designed to make it simpler to identify content on CDs or DVDs, and assist in launching the correct program to open or view the files. For example, insert a movie DVD and Windows XP should show options for programs that can play a DVD. Unfortunately things can go wrong - settings get altered and the autorun no longer wants to be your friend. This free tool can help diagnose and repair autorun problems in XP. It is a tiny download and doesn't require installation. Simply double-click the exe file, click a few buttons (OK, some options are a little cryptic) and you can change or repair your Windows XP autorun options.

DVD/Cd Burner won't run programs.

All you need to do is that put the CD in the CD/DVD drive that you have access and not properly closed. For example here is the situation. I put a cd installer with a file named in the cd setup.exe and it is located in drive D: i access the file setup.exe and I run it or install.. then I decided not to install the programs.. what I did is that is did not cancel the installation but rather I immediately open my cd/dvd drive and get the cd..

What are going to happen? the installation is in the process and I did not cancel the installation properly. In the installation logs of the windows it still have to install the programs but it cannot find the file setup.exe that is located in the Drive D:.

Try to put a cd in your cd/dvd drive with file named setupexe on the cd.. that will solve your problems. TY

HOPE I CAN HELP
