If your dryer is heating but the clothes are still not dry then you probably have a buildup of lint in the vent hose. just clear it out and you should be good to go. If its not the vent hose it could be a bad thermostat or temp fuse.
If your dryer is just not heating then its probably a bad heating element.
All those parts can be gotten from an appliance parts shop as long as you know the machine's model number. They are relatively inexpensive and easy to replace but if your not a handy man I'd get a pro repairman to have a look for you.

After drying clothes at nite, dr y er is damp the next morning. Why

Is the dryer vented properly? If not, the unit will not dry properly and the humidity in the clothes will stay in the room and condense on the metal of unit.

My whirlpool thin twin dryer will heat but clothes will not dry

Could be a venting problem, the damp warm air needs to be vented from the machine for the clothes to dry, if it is not venting properly the clothes will not dry. Have a look to see if your vent pipe is blocked of kinked.

The heat is there but it doesnt dry the clothes

You have one of 2 problems. Your clothes are getting put into the machine too wet because the washer isn't spinning them out all the way. Or you have a clogged vent causing the unit to take too long to dry properly because it can't remove the moisture properly. Check your vent outside to see how hard the dryer is blowing the air.

We have a Kenmore 400 Series dryer. It heats up but our clothes is not getting dry. We have to cycle it twice to get our clothes dry on high heat. Any idea why it would take 2 cycles to dry?

This was the out vent of my dryer... If it gets this bad... open up the dryer housing and clean inside too. Also make sure the intake is free of lint.

try cleaning the cd with a soft slightly damp cloth, then drying properly with a dry soft cloth, your cd is most likely dirty and can't load properly, welcome

Does not heat

"Steam drying will get how but the air that comes later to actually dry is cold so the clothes never dry"

I am assuming "how" means hot in this sentence, if so, I think I can help! There is no "steam drying" phase for your dryer so what is probably happening is; the wet clothes are being heated properly [as a result causing steam] however if this steam does not escape frum the dryer it will simply condense back onto the clothing [leaving them moist/wet].
Check your flexible tube from the dryer and the vent on the outside of your home to make sure they are unobstructed. Hope this helps!

Dryer not drying clothes properly

If the dryer heats at all and you are have to dry this long you have a blocked venting system in your home or a pinched dryer hose.
