Most likely the problem lies with the pump. Its a plastic box attached to the motor beneath the machine. Most likely there is a puncture in it somewhere or possibly a loose hose underneath. Check out the hoses and the pump for issues. The pump is generally a gray plastic with two black hoses coming out the left side.

Washer won't hold water, just drains to the floor.

Sounds like there's a hole or loose ejection water hose.
Move the washer so it will run and you can look in the back to see where the water is coming from....fix the leaky problem once you find it. Could be a bad hose clamp as well

Water seems to be coming from underneath

Check that your drain hose is fully inserted into the wall/floor drain. then run an empty load with just water and watch it during the drain cycle to see if either the drain is backing up or if it's not fully connected at the back of the washer. if the drain is backing up you can try a drain sn ake available at most hardware stores and that will most likely clear it. If it's leaking at the connection at the back of the washer try to push it in fully or replace the hose altogether. It's not the water inlets because they always have pressure on them and would leak constantly. or you could have a cracked basket in which case you will be better to buy a new machine. cracked baskets don't happen very often though. And once in a blue moon it could be an off balance issue where its actually splashing out. Either way you need to spend some quality time with your washer and see why it's crying =]
Good luck!

Water coming out on the floor under washer?

Pull out the washer, and either the hose came unattached or the hose has a break in it.

If you can't find the problem, just run a small load and set it to small load, then make it spin and you will see where the water is coming from.

Best to find it without filling it in case the pump went bad, and is leaking.

Also make sure its not the drain line backing up, this can cause the problem also.

Check all these things, but check drain and hose first, then pull the back of the machine off if its not these.

I have a GE Model WJRE5500g0WW washing machine. It is two years old, purchased new. After the clothes had spun dry, water was observed on floor. Drain tube checked and okay, not plugged up. Before I open...

Normally water on the floor can be from a few places. Mostly a faulty drain pump: possibly a tear in one of the pipes: rust in the drum: possibly water in the centre which comes from the bearings.(if the machine makes a racket when spinning, then i would look at the spin bearing collum). even concider drain pipe at outlet not running out onto floor. Either tilt washer back about 45 deg. to look underneath or possibly remove panel to allow a visual of the motor and components. See if you can pick up any indecationof water having run down from a particular spot. If so rectify. Hope it helped. .Ge washers not farmiliar to me but most problems are similar.

SPIN CYCLE WON'T DRAIN WATER FROM TUB IT RUNS ONTO MY FLOOR

Sounds like you have a bad water pump. Remove the hose going into the water pump and coming out of the pump and the pump should pull directly off the shaft check to make sure it spins freely.

The water keeps running and it does not fill up.

If there is no water on the floor, it would have to be that the water entering the washer is going through the drain tube because it is too low, or for some odd reason the drain pump could actually be running, pumping out the water as its entering the washer. If there is water on the floor, there could be a leak anywhere along the drain tubing, the drain pump itself, or even the drum/basket seal.

If it only leaks in drain it has to be a hole in the drain hose or a plugged up house drain.

Water flowing back into washer after wash

There is a back flow valve attached to the outlet port of the drain pump. It is just a small rubber flap. This sometimes comes loose or remains open due to debris and allows the water in the drain hose to flow back into the machine after the drain pump shuts off. It can be checked by removing the drain hose from the pump inside of the machine. You will lose all of the water in your machine (about 1/2 gallon)when you do this so be prepared with a bunch of towels.
