DVD Write error in Dell Inspiron 1525

First, check if you are logged as the administrator or check if the computer has security or something which does not allow you to copy files from computer to cd/dvd.
Please try this. Copy the said file/folder to a USB flash drive or any external storage device check if you get the same problem or error message. If yes then try to do system restore on your laptop there might windows update doing this conflict. If no errors in copying to a USB storage device then uninstall / reinstall the burning software or better install a latest version of your burning software.
If still fails then try this: Start> Run> Regedit Follow the subkeys below
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
After highlighting the "4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318"
On the right hand window look for entries such as lower and upper filters, delete those entries. After deleting restart the computer. Now check if burning will be fixed.

This issue may can be of Nero means product of DVD wrighter, Now you should uninstall the nero from Add or Remove programe also remove from registry and again install Nero after completing this process you should try for wrighting DVD.
