The USB networking devices are often slow due to the drivers and the OS. Keep in mind that you are trying to use 801.11g speeds of 54mbps over a USB interface that cannot support more than 480mbps on all devices for the same root hub. If you have USB disk drives or CD readers and writers running then your network speed will suffer. Even mouse and keyboard can be impacted by maxing out the USB devices. The speed is constantly negotiated with the wireless router, so if you experience slowness it may improve with increased traffic volume. Try starting a streaming video like You Tube or the MSN news feeds when the speed is good. See if keeping that going in the background protects your connection from slowing down later.

It's always difficult to troubleshoot wireless because the signal can be effected by so many different variables. Easiest thing would be to connect another wireless device. If that works OK then it's your computer or wireless adapter. If that drops out too then it's your wireless router. When we find out what's at fault we can find a more detailed solution if you' be kind enough to post back.

My Friend,

Plug in the usb adapter and then when it shows you new hardware connected on the taskbar or
you can go to the control panel and see there under device manager.

If it shows you there then click on that and from there carry to install the utility.

please take a restart after you install this.

Why won't it connect to the internet?

First, you will need to know the wireless settings (such as Wireless network name and Wireless security) on the wireless access-point or router.

Once you have those settings, use the WUSB54GSC wireless utility. It should show the wireless network name of your access-point. Just select the name and click connect then type the passphrase or wireless security key, if enabled.

Good Signal,Good Mbps, Slow Internet Connection?

1. Try to use a different wireless adapter on all available USB ports, if the problem remains then
2. turn off your PC unplug the power cord from the power socket, short the two legs of the power cable then leave it for 5min, then plug it into the power socket again and turn on the PC.

if this didnt work then you have a hardware problem with the USB ports.

let me know how it works out.
