1st ting to try, plug the speaker jack in to something like an MP3 player to test them. If there's no sound, it's new speaker time. If there is sound then we will need to troubleshoot your PC.

How to use speaker in computer?

Does your motherboard has an onboard sound card? If it has then read your motherboard manual especially the audio section of the manual where the topic is described how and where to plug in which audio jacks coming out from you speakers (speaker system) to which part of the external audio ports usually located at the rear end of your computer case. You need to install the sound card drivers to activate audio properties of your computer of course, to actually use the speakers.
You can also use the front panel audio port of your computer case where you can connect your speakers to as well.
In case your motherboard did not come up with sound card installed you can always install an external sound card and then connect the speakers to the proper external audio ports of the card. Just read your motherboard or sound card manual. It is all there.

I've hooked up all the speakers. NOTE: I didn't read the instructions, as they are lost and I recently moved. I'm sure everything is right, I've read on here about this problem. I have the pea-green,...

Typically:

Lime green (pea-green) is front speakers.
Orange is for center speakers and sub-woofer.
Black is for rear speakers.

Pink is for microphone in.
Blue is for line in (MIDI or similar).

How do I get my altec lansing bx1121 speakers to work on my computer?

just plug it in the computers 3.5mm jack and switch on the speakers from behind the right hand speaker and volume control is above that speaker. there must be manual you can just read it and try.

there may be a possibility that your sound driver is not installed so check that first.

I need Philips DSS 350 Computer Speakers driver win xp

Speakers do not need drivers usually. What else do they do other than play sounds? Check the content of the disk. and tell me I am curious. Meanwhile if there is a program your the speakers load it then right click on the icon and then properties then compatibility and read on. or Go to My Computer/Help and type = program compatibility. You will discover a device to get XP to read programs as for 98.
