Re: I can't get the phone to work

If your phone has gotten too wet inside, there is no fixing it. You will need a new one.

Re: I can't get the phone to work

You know what the problem is, your phone has some corrosion on it, probably on the headphone jack area and on the pop port area. If the corrosion is visible enough on the outside, get a used toothbrush and brush it off. Once the corrosion is removed, the car icon on the upper portion of your phone's screen will disappear.

Comtrend powerline adapter

are you saying the connection between the two powerline devices is dropping? try moving the wireless adapter to a power outlet a little closer to the base router, they might be just a little too far away from each other right now. even though it worked for a long time, the device might be getting interference from some other electrical device on the line which causes it to act up.

It does not make much sense. But it seems the WAP610N has a limit on concurrent connections. We just started to use this device in a small office network. There are about 15 laptops on wireless...

Two possibilities:

1. the router is configured to hand-out IP-addresses in a limited range, e.g., to, namely 11 different IP-addresses. When the 12th computer asks for an IP-address, there is none available. Remedy: configure the router to use a larger range of IP-addresses.

2. when an IP-address is handed-out, attached is a 'TTL' ("time to live") value, indicating how long the IP-address remains valid, e.g., 10 minutes or 100 minutes or 1 day or 1 week. If the TTL is too large, then each computer "hogs" the IP-address (even after being shut-off in mid-afternoon).
Remedy: configure the router to use a shorter TTL. Don't worry: when a TTL value drops to 50% of its original value, on a specific computer, the computer will "renew" the lease.

I have a samsung r519 laptop my internet connection went down on saturday the man from bt said my wireless switch had been turned off but i dont no where it is.can you help

This is really easy to solve. On your keyboard, you'll see there's a Function button, labelled Fn (probably in blue) near the left hand ctrl (control) key. Hold this and press the key that has a little blue aerial on it (an inverted triangle with a line running down the centre), which is probably the F9 key at the same time. This should activate your laptop's internal wireless adapter. If you'd like to see the manual, you can download it from [here]. Page 68 has more information about this specific problem.

Hi, my Belkin N Wireless router works in some way fine with both Wired and Wireless connection, but there is a problem, it will only allow me to connect wired to my computer and not to my PlayStation 3......

You may need to change settings in your router to enable your online games to work. Some games need to use specific ports; these ports may be closed due to the router's firewall. Please refer to your game's documentation for the ports required.

Use the following answer to configure these ports in your router.

In order to configure this, you need to know:

- The IP address of the computer or device to have the port forwarded to.

- The port numbers to be used and whether these are TCP or UDP ports

(Note: We recommend you use a computer that has a wired connection to the router.)

Setup steps:

  1. Open a Web Browser on the computer. Type in
  2. In the address bar of the Web Browser type Click Login in the upper right hand corner of the page. The router does not ship with a password, so just click submit.

  1. Click on Virtual Servers under Firewall in the menu on the left

  1. Enter the following information
    • Click Enabled
    • Type a general description of the application i.e.. Remote Desktop
    • Type the port(s) specified by the program manufacture for both of the Inbound port fields
    • Select TCP, UDP, or BOTH for the Type.
    • Private IP address: Enter the IP address of the computer you want grant access too.
    • Type the port(s) specified by the program manufacture for both of the Private port fields.

  1. Click the Apply Changes button
