Question about Kenwood VR-606 Receiver
Component outputs do not provide sound. Component CABLES however can be used as a rather equal alternative to analog cables for audio.
Your receiver does not have connections for component, nor HDMI. You can however still connect your PS3 to it for audio by any one of its three digital inputs. It only has S-video and does not upconvert video signals so I recommend against making any video connections to it. Connect the PS3 video directly to your television for whichever video input it is compatible with High definition video. This method will always provide the best picture.
