Question about Canon Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Set Date Bought this unit at Costco. Read the instructions that came with the machine and followed the suggested fix for P23 to no avail. Following the instructions for setting time work fine, but when I follow the instructions for setting date, instead of printing out the new date, the first digit of the month continues to flash like it is still in "set" mode. No combination of pressing or pressing/holding keys has worked for me.

Time changes okay, but first number in date keeps flashing. No key will set it.

How can i fix the date Citizen 8700 BL8000-54L Wrist Watch

You can get instructions by following the link http://www.citizenwatch.com/COA/English/technicalinfo.asp?caliber=E870&ModelNumber=BL8000-54L (copy this into your search engine) download the instructions.

There are two sets of instructions and I suggest that you read both as they may not both tell the story in the same way!

I don't think the P23-DH has a calendar/clock mode. I have found the instructions for setting date and time for the P23-DH V. If your calculator does not have [Calendar/Clock], [Time Set], and [AM/PM] keys, you cannot set the date and time.

To set date:
1. Press the [Calendar/Clock] key once
2. Press and hold the [Time Set] key for three seconds
3. Enter the date in MMDDYYYY format
4. Press the [Time Set] key
5. Press the [C/CE] key

To set time:
1. Press the [Calendar/Clock] key twice
2. Press and hold the [Time Set] key for three seconds
3. Enter the date in HHMM format, press [AM/PM] key if necessary
4. Press the [Time Set] key
5. Press the [C/CE] key

Setting date onCanon P23 DHV

I'm not positive because I pushed several buttons just trying to get it set and stay set -- but I think I did the following: fist push the "time set" button, ie the "memory plus" button then push the "format" button, ie the red "minus" button to change the settings -- continue until you have set the date and time -- then when you are finished you have to push the "time set" button, ie the "memory plus" button again to set it in place -- at least I think that's what I did

Setting date/time

Press the calendar/clock button
Hold the M+= button until the first digit of the date/time begins to blink
Set the time using this format- hh:mm
Set the date using this format- dd:mm:yyyy,
July 15, 08=15:07:2008 (I got this step wrong thinking the format was mm:dd:yyyy)
Press the M+= button again.
