SOURCE: Projector lamp flashes and the temp red led lights.

Purchased our76C in Jan, 2007. It is our second unit now that has had the same symptoms. When the unit starts up, the Power light is steady green as normal for a few minutes, but no image is projected. After a few minutes the lights do as you described. Both times Epson support authorized a new unit to be shipped out immediately. They said they had no known issues about it and didn't indicate what was causing the problem. Apparently it is not just the lamp wither. Also, the lamps both had under 20 hours on them.

power supply or lamp ballasts, both are pretty common to produce results as you describe, looking at $600.00 or so to repair. if those are the only things wrong.

SOURCE: Projector won't stay on

Most projectors have a filter that can be removed and cleaned. Perhaps it is clogged or you may need a new bulb.

either the lamp hours are close to or exceeding 1400 hrs and the lamp needs replacing, or the ballast is starting to fail. with the projector on, check the lamphours in the menu. after you replace the lamp (if it needs it), reset the lamp timer by holding down the down arrow, right arrow, and enter buttons, then press power.

Lamp 1 light is on upon turning power on. Then lamp 2 light turns from green to red

it might be a bad lamp. i'd recommend reversing the 2 lamps, and if the problem follows, then you know you have a bad lamp.

Red power, blinking red temp

Hi,

if the Lamp error and Temperature error lights are flashing red this means that there are two separate errors.

  • A flashing lamp light means the lamp failed to ignite. It could be a lamp driver problem or lamp failure. Replace the lamp to resolve the issue. If the issue is not resolved, then service the projector.
  • A flashing Temperature light signals a fan error. Turn the projector off and allow it to cool down. If the light is still flashing after the projector is turned back on, service the projector.
Goodluck..

I had to replace the lamp and it blew the fuse on the power board. I replace the fuse and put in a new lamp and still have now power. the red light will come on in the front but it will not power on. ...

When you replaced the lamp, did you use a patten part lamp or an official sharp lamp. When you replaced the fuse did you check there were no signs of burnt components on the board was the power disconnected when you changed the lamp

Panasonic projection TV does not turn on.

Power LED flashes orange 1 x 5 secs. = 1 of 3 fans stopped. TEMP LED flashes 1 x 5 secs, = Temperature error. Lamp LED flashes 1 x 5 secs. = lamp ballast error. (check lamp 1st.)
Hope this helps.

Replaced both bulbs with brand-new bulbs. Now all

Verify that the lamp doors are securely closed. The blinking red lights indicate a lamp problem. In this case, both appear to be defective. I doubt that the lamps are the problem. double chack all connections and doors for proper seating. Update this if the problem remains.

Thanks,
Dan
