Question about Toys

Just set up my sons Transformers mini scalextric. All track is slotted together properly and the power light is on but when I squeeze the trigger the cars don't move. Have I missed something?

We have Scalextric digital with 4 controllers. Control position 1 currently can't be used. When we put a car on the start track and press and hold in number 1, we don't get the flashing light so no...

I can't remember if the 4 car powerbase checks for the presence of a controller in the socket before programming a car. Anyway, check by plugging a controller into every socket and trying every combination of car being programmed to every ID and also sit cars on both lanes for programming, to thoroughly check all combinations and possibilities. If you can rule out individual cars, controllers, or lanes of the track, then whatever is left (i.e. the powerbase itself) must be the problem, in which case contact retailer or Hornby Customer Care.

It sounds as though you may have two defective transformers. Lionel has reported problems with some of their smaller transformers. I would have the transformers and the engines checked by a Lionel service station or contact their customer service department for help.

Just got a brand new scalextric digital set. am pressing the button to synchonise controller to car, green light flashes twice but carstill does go. Can you help thks

If it is only one of your cars that is not working then it sounds like the digital chip is bad or not wired in properly. Make sure you only have one car on the track when you are synchronising.

Kink's in track stoping cars going round track

You can soak the track pieces in almost boiling water. Heat them up for a few second until they get soft where the kink is, Straighten out the kink and then let it cool down. Straight pieces can be placed on a flat surface with a flat weight, like a book, placed on them until cool. Curved pieces can be held in place then run under cold water. You might have to do it several times to get the right angle so that the kink is smoothed out. Be careful not to distort the track to much. A blow dryer can also work, but tends to wrap the track if held in one place too long.

Wii won't "take in" disks.

There is a trigger switch that the disc hits when it is inserted, this tells the consol to pull the disc in, when a disc is ejected the proper way the system retracts the trigger so the disc can be ejected, By pulling the disc out with force your son has either broken the trigger and the consol cannot tell that a disc is inserted, or he has pulled the trigger backwards and the disc is not making contact with the trigger...You will have to disassemble the consol to inspect the trigger (unless you can see it threw the slot) and either place it in its proper setting or super glue it back together.. Another option is to send it in for repair...Hope this helps
