Have either of you tried charging this via the USB connection on your computer? Sometimes this helps. Give it a try.

Screen is locked and cannot turn it off. i had entered a destination, it was working and I have not had any prior problems. now the screen is frozen with the original arrival time. I have tried to turn it...

Have you tried resetting the unit? If you take the faceplate off (put your fingernail in the top center of the faceplate, and you will be able to pull it forward. It then pops off), there is a reset button on the bottom right of the machine. Press this and see if it helps.

Garmin Nuvi won't turn on

See if you can find the reset button on the unit and push it while the unit is on. On newer units the reset button is on the back, but on older units it may have a faceplate cover around the edge of the screen you have to remove and the reset button is sometimes located under the faceplate...this may work

Garmin c340 will not turn on

Verify that plug is inserted fully and that the outlet is live. If that is good, then try the reset button which is hidden under the faceplate. Unsnap and remove the trim ring from the front by pulling with a fingernail under the logo. Press the reset button. If still no joy, check fuse in power plug by unscrewing silver nut on end of plug. If none of this works, then you might have a battery failure or other internal failure.

Try resetting the unit. There is a reset button under the faceplate. Carefully remove the faceplate with the Garmin logo with your fingernail or a knife blade. There is a reset button along the right side. I bought a refurbished C340 and it did the same thing right out of the box. The tech support people where I purchased the unit told me how to reset it.

I can not turn on my 530 and it dos not show that the battery is being charged on the screen

Yes, there is a way to reset it. You can try the reset button under the faceplate, or a Master Reset. Keep in mind, a Master Reset WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR FAVORITES. In order to do a Master Reset the unit must be off. Press and hold the bottom right of the screen, then press the on button. Keep pressing the screen until the unit asks if you are sure you want to reset. Follow the prompts. To use the reset button, you must remove the faceplate carefully (put your fingernail or another object in the indentation on the top of the faceplate, and pull it toward you). Then press the reset button on the right hand side of the unit.

Will not turn on

Champ...If your 340 stops responding, try turning it off and back on.If this does not help, reset the 340.

1.Unplug the power and the usb cables to remove external power.
2.Place your thumbnail in the groove located under the Garmin logo on the faceplate and gently pull off the faceplate.
3.Press the reset button for about 3 seconds.
4.Connect the 340 to a power source using power cable. The 340 should automatically turn back on and operate normally.
Good Luck ... Ginny
