Hi.

This is an universal replacement part, that is the reason why it is different from your TB original part.

The thermostat should have the temperature probe already attached.

Fit temperature probe and thermostat, then connect the element (s) wires on one side of the thermostat. The order in which you connect element polarity to thermostat does not matter. The thermostat will cut off power to element when the specific temperature is being reached by the temperature probe.

Tricity Bendix SE556SV lower oven not reaching tempature, new element, themostat and fan

First need to see if supply voltage is correct.
Verify oven probe sensor to the thermostat Is working properly? (usually done by Ohm test)
Thermostast offer an option for calibration?
Also have you verified actual oven temperature with an external thermometer?

My tricity bendix main oven (model S1510W) is not doing anything! The fan is not moving and it will not heat up. Do you know what the problem is likely to be?

Unfamiliar with your model but:

It is most likely a broken/burnt Selector switch (This switch is situated at the back of the same knob you turn to activate your Fan) Decent technicians will be able to rebuild this switch into a generic base switch (Can get this from most appliance spares departments), or you can even do it yourself - This is more likely to be the problem, as it is the selector switch that turns on both the fan & element on the oven.

Good Luck :-) - J.Q

Fan oven stopped heating

Hello,
Is the fan working in the oven if not then check if the clock needs resetting. If the fan is working then it is more likely that the ring element around the fan has failed.Check also if the thermostat light comes on,this is an indication it may be ok.

Hope this helps.

Tricity Bendix SIE504W oven overheating

I have had a similar problem in that the top oven was overheating getting hotter and hotter and have just got a replacement thermostat from Partmaster.co.uk. This is to fit a Tricity Bendix from Currys model number DSIE520 GR. The new one seems just like yours in that it has three lettered connectors A,B and C. With the part came a sheet stating that for a free standing appliance with NO timer (this what my cooker is) the connections to be made are : 2 on old part to A on new; F on old to B on new; G/H on old to C on new and the link from G/H and 6 on old to be removed or "severed". I haven't yet done this as its in my cottage which I'm going to this weekend. Good luck! James

Tricity bendix se211 electric cooker trips all my electrics

The symptoms you describe are a classic example of an oven element heating up, and as it gets hotter, the insulation is breaking down, thereby causing the earth leakage trip to operate.
To confirm this , switch on the oven, and turn all 4 rings on the top to full heat, 2 at a time, let them stay on for at least 10-15 mins, and if it does not trip, then you can be pretty sure it is the oven element(s) that is the problem

It is not likely to be the wall switch, as if it were faulty, i would expect the trip to go right away.
If you want to check further, then turn on the oven again and see if it trips, if it does ,then it is definately the oven element(s) that is the problem.

If it is a fan assisted oven , the element is at the rear of the oven, and possibly one under the base ot the oven. If it is a conventional convection oven, then there is an element at each side of the oven, even if one is faulty, replace both.

Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
