Question about Tomtom GO 510 GPS Receiver
The other car charged you had it in most likely supplied too much voltage, and the over voltage has ruined the unit, the same thing happens with any device you give too much voltage to, it either blows up or stops working.
you will have to either purchase another unit or you will be looking at a major repair bill.
As for repairing this at home, its hard to tell how much or how many components have blown out due to too high voltage being supplied.

The white screen of death is quite common with TomTom GO 510 model. The best remidy is to do a soft reset. For doing the soft reset please follow the instructions with the document provided bellow:
