Question about New World 50GSO Gas Kitchen Range
I can hear the gas when i switch it on, but when I put the light/fire next to where i think the gas is coming out from, nothing happens....I don't know what to do
I think we have this sorted. Thanks for helping. We just got the cooker two days ago and this is the first we tried the oven. We held Number 8 in for 2 mins to make sure it was working and that solved the problem.
Thanks to the original poster for the solution.

That model has an electric ignition ? you turn the oven to full (8), keep the dial pressed in & press the ignition switch.
You should hear the clicking & if you look at the bottom of your oven you should see a flame through a small round hole.
You have to keep the dial(not the ignition, the dial(8)) pressed in for about 30 seconds for the thermocouple to warm up before you let it go else the flame will just go out. ( if the thermocouple isn't warm enough it will cu off the gas, safety incase of loss of flame or accidental use of oven)
